When you get to the guard booth please let them know you are here for the Job Fair. You will have to present to the guard booth a form of picture/state ID to enter the campus.  It is located at the Andrus Center for Learning and Innovation (ACLI) Room on campus.  Please follow the signs to ACLI.  Please bring at least 2 copies of your resume and a cover letter.

Clinician’s, Yonkers, NY ( 4/17/18)

New York State LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT with relevant experience with children, adults and families; must have knowledge of and experience with multiple modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention and knowledge of Evidence Based Treatment. Must have strong computer skills; knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR); strong oral and written communication skills and a driver’s license in good standing. Schedule can be Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday.  If Monday through Friday three evenings will be required.  If Tuesday through Saturday there will be two evenings required and Saturday’s hours will be 8:30am to 3:30pm.

PhD in Psychology with an emphasis on specific training in ASD.  License is not required for first 18 months. Knowledge and proven experience in providing comprehensive, thoughtful, and thorough psychological testing and interpretation of assessments related to autism spectrum disorder (ADOS, etc.). Knowledge and/or proven experience working with children who have high functioning autism as well as a range of co-morbid psychiatric challenges, learning challenges, trauma histories and sensory needs. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a high paced, demanding, creative, and collaborative environment. Commitment to and ability to practice the commitments of Sanctuary. Excellent organizational and writing skills. Solid speaking ability, ability to teach or co-teach concepts to adult learners. Experience working in a Residential Setting, with Sensory integration or in a Sanctuary certified agency a plus. This is a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday schedule.

Per Diem Cook, Yonkers, NY (2/7/18)

High School Diploma and one year cooking experience. Ability to speak read and understand English. Capable of obtaining a Food Safety Certificate. Valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing. ELA Curriculum Coordinator, Yonkers, NY (1/31/18)

ANDRUS is looking for an ELA Curriculum Coordinator for the Orchard School. The ELA Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of ELA curriculum at the Orchard School which includes the curriculum, instruction and assessment Reading, Writing and English Literature.  The ELA Curriculum Coordinator develops curriculum maps with the input of teachers and administration.  The Curriculum Coordinator monitors teacher fidelity with the maps, instruction and assessment of the students and the school ELA programs.  The ELA Curriculum Coordinator is responsible to work collaboratively with teachers to organize the reading block which includes the assessment of student reading ability, assignment of students to the appropriate reading classes, monitoring of student progress and corrective actions as needed. The ELA Coordinator leads the school in the assessment of writing growth through the regular deliver of curriculum based measures, writing portfolios and the reporting out of student success.  The ELA Coordinator monitors the inventory of all reading and ELA materials in the school including classroom texts, novels, reading materials and support materials and develops purchase orders as necessary to maintain a high quality and quantity of ELA materials for the teaching staff to utilize.  The ELA Coordinator provides or arranges for staff development for all teachers to reach teaching standards or to grow in the area of ELA instruction.   The ELA Coordinator provides 1:1 or small group instruction to students who can benefit from intense intervention.  

Requirements:  Certification in Special Education with experience teaching Literacy or Certification in Literacy with experience with special education children. A minimum of 3 years classroom experience required and proficiency in teaching English Literature, Reading and Writing. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to reach, walk, climb stairs and bend.  This position for a 10 month school year and 6 week summer program.   Hours are 8:30AM to 3:30PM, with Mondays and Wednesdays designated for leadership and staff conferences 3pm to 5PM.

Per Diem LPN, Yonkers, NY (1/22/18)

New York State Licensed Practical Nurse with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a minimum of Five (5) years of clinical experience with pediatric nursing in a residential setting. Must have strong oral and written communication skills; be able to accept direction of a Registered Nurse. Perform nursing tasks within a framework; have strong medication administration skills; strong nursing clinical skills. Schedule is on a as needed basis and preference would be for someone who is available during the day shift, 7am to 3pm.

Part Time/Full Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Peekskill / White Plains (1/18/18)

Current New York State Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner with License and DEA registration plus BC/BE in child, (adolescent) psychiatry. Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner, including child and adolescent psychiatry.   Excellent analytical and clinical skills to resolve complex clinical and diagnostic problems.  Strong computer skills with knowledge of EMR.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to meet session productive standards.  The schedule will include four (4), seven (7) hour work days, as needed in the program and generally within Monday through Friday schedule, 9am to 4pm. It may include evenings and Saturdays.   The position will work 28 hours per week  (14 hours in Peekskill, NY and 14 hours in White Plains, NY)

Special Education Teacher, Middle School, Yonkers, NY (1/9/18) 

New York State Certification in Special Education.  Must be willing to both work with, and seek to increase their sensitivity and competency in working with clients with diverse characteristics.   This position is  for a 10 month school year and 6 week summer program.   Hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with one day per week designated for staff conferences from 3 pm to 5 pm. 

Full Time and Per Diem Residential Milieu Therapist’s and One to One’s, Yonkers, NY (12/21/17)

ANDRUS is seeking Milieu Therapist’s and One to One’s who are responsible to maintain a safe, predictable and therapeutic living environment for children in care at ANDRUS. The Milieu Therapist provides close supervision, counseling, and support to the children during all cottage-based activities; plans and implements individual and group initiatives to build children’s skills and self-esteem; ensures that the basic needs of children are met, and that the cottage is maintained in a safe, orderly, predictable, therapeutic, structured and clean condition; works as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes recreation therapists, teachers, social workers and other professionals.

High School Diploma and 5 years practical work experience or sixty (60) college credits.  Good Oral and written communication skills.  Must have physical capacity to restrain or assist in restraint of a child and to be TCI certified.  Experience working with children, preferably in a residential setting and/or with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Yonkers, NY (12/21/17)

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct occupational therapy services to children attending the Orchard School.  The therapy services, supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR), focus on improving the ability of the student to regulate their bodies, cope with sensory processing disorders, develop or strengthen daily living and classroom skills, and other services identified in their IEP goals and objectives.

Requirements: New York State certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least one year of related experience working with children who have self-regulation challenges, trauma histories, or are on the autism spectrum. Director of ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation/Sanctuary Institute, Yonkers, NY (10/9/17)

The Director is responsible for the overall operations of the ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation and the Sanctuary Institute, including managing all training and product development, operations, contracts, scheduling and coordinating all training and consultation, and marketing. The Director provides oversight of fiscal management and accountability of the ACLI/SI.

REQUIREMENTS:  PhD, MSW, LCSW, LMSW, MPH or comparable graduate degree with a minimum of three (3) years management experience in a training/educational environment and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with the Sanctuary Model. Strong organizational skills, written and communication skills are a must.  Must have ability to travel.  Strong technological background for telecommuting.  Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing.  Must be able to sit, stand, walk, see, climb stairs, and carry up to 30 lbs.
