Speech and Language Pathologist – Clinical Fellow, Yonkers, NY (8/16/18)

The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) – Clinical Fellow – provides direct individual and group treatment for students with speech and language deficits based on IEP goals and objectives. The SLP – Clinical Fellow is also responsible for conducting screenings and evaluations as directed by the Speech and Language Coordinator.  The SLP – Clinical Fellow collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide further understanding of the interventions and treatment of students with speech and language deficits.  The SLP – Clinical Fellow is responsible for daily progress notes and quarterly reports.  The SLP – Clinical Fellow helps children understand and use basic language concepts related to classroom learning and encourages literacy development.

Requirements; Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Physical Requirements: Reach, Walk, Climb Stairs and Bend.  This is for a 10 month school year and 6 week summer program.  The Hours are8:30am to 3:30pm daily, except for one day per week so designated for staff conference from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Full Time and Per Diem Residential Milieu Therapist’s and One to One’s, Yonkers, NY (12/21/17)

ANDRUS is seeking Milieu Therapist’s and One to One’s who are responsible to maintain a safe, predictable and therapeutic living environment for children in care at ANDRUS. The Milieu Therapist provides close supervision, counseling, and support to the children during all cottage-based activities; plans and implements individual and group initiatives to build children’s skills and self-esteem; ensures that the basic needs of children are met, and that the cottage is maintained in a safe, orderly, predictable, therapeutic, structured and clean condition; works as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes recreation therapists, teachers, social workers and other professionals.

High School Diploma and 5 years practical work experience or sixty (60) college credits.  Good Oral and written communication skills.  Must have physical capacity to restrain or assist in restraint of a child and to be TCI certified.  Experience working with children, preferably in a residential setting and/or with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Director of ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation/Sanctuary Institute, Yonkers, NY (10/9/17)

The Director is responsible for the overall operations of the ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation and the Sanctuary Institute, including managing all training and product development, operations, contracts, scheduling and coordinating all training and consultation, and marketing. The Director provides oversight of fiscal management and accountability of the ACLI/SI.

REQUIREMENTS:  PhD, MSW, LCSW, LMSW, MPH or comparable graduate degree with a minimum of three (3) years management experience in a training/educational environment and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with the Sanctuary Model. Strong organizational skills, written and communication skills are a must.  Must have ability to travel.  Strong technological background for telecommuting.  Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing.  Must be able to sit, stand, walk, see, climb stairs, and carry up to 30 lbs.
