Nurturing Hope for 90 Years Anniversary Gala Raises Nearly $500,000 to Support ANDRUS

Westchester-based Levitt-Fuirst, Associates Honored

YONKERS, N.Y. (November 12, 2018) – Over 350 people gathered for ANDRUS’ 90th Anniversary Gala on Friday, November 2 at The New York Botanical Garden located in Bronx, NY. The sold-out fundraising event featured a silent and live auction, as well as a lively Fund-the-Future paddle raise for ANDRUS’ numerous therapeutic programs, including the Horticulture Program and Hope Space, which give the children in the organization’s programs the benefit of experiencing beauty every day. This year the gala honored Levitt-Fuirst Associates, Ltd., an insurance brokerage firm.

With the generous support of sponsors, honorees, donors, and friends, ANDRUS raised nearly $500,000 that will benefit therapeutic programs for vulnerable children and families in the community.

“ANDRUS is an amazing place. We care for our children, we give them hope, we give them a sense of value, so they can learn, grow and prosper and return to their communities to live successful lives,” said Bryan Murphy, CEO, ANDRUS, “It was an extraordinary night of community, celebration, fundraising and relationship building.”

At the event, Levitt-Fuirst Co-Presidents, Ken Fuirst and Jason Schiciano, accepted the evening’s honor, on behalf of the entire company, for the incredible work that they do supporting ANDRUS and the community. Because of the many Levitt- Fuirst employees who support ANDRUS annually, students’ lives have been transformed. They show ANDRUS’ students the power of hard work and the value of seeing a project through to the end as they work as a team to revitalize the campus greenhouses and gardens.

“ANDRUS is a life-changing organization for the families it serves,” said Schiciano. “Both Ken (Fuirst) and I are proud that Levitt-Fuirst Insurance was recognized for supporting the organization over the past several years, and happy that our staff, and many of their spouses, could celebrate the Levitt-Fuirst/ANDRUS relationship at the spectacular Gala event.”
