ANDRUS ADMINISTRATION – Yonkers, NY: Executive Assistant, Yonkers, NY (1/5/2021)

Associates Degree at minimum (B.A. or B.S. preferred) with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant office experience including correspondence, filing, schedule management and interface with internal and external customers. Must be able to appropriately interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization including executive leadership/staff, donors, Board Committee members and occasional government and community contacts. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required – writing samples a plus (a written exam will be included in the interview). Ability to work independently in fast paced environment. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. Outstanding organizational and follow-through skills. Strict attention to detail is a must. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. High energy, positive attitude, and assertive nature a must. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher or Adobe equivalent, and knowledge and experience with a variety of social media applications. Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values. Valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing.

Physical Requirements: Reach, Walk, Climb Stairs, Bend, Visual acuity (with correction as needed) and Auditory acuity (with correction as needed). The schedule is 8am to 4pm, Monday – Friday. Some nights and weekends might be required as needed.

ANDRUS CAMPUS CLINICAL PROGRAM - YONKERS, NY: IEP Clinician, Yonkers, NY (1/29/2021)

New York State LMSW with at least one-year post-Master’s experience preferred with children or other significant experience in treatment for children. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong skills in a variety of software applications. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values.

Physical Requirements: Be able to hear well enough to carry out job responsibilities in an adequate manner, Reach, Walk, Climb Stairs. General working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday with occasional evening work as necessary. Serving as an Administrator on-call will be required as scheduled. IEP Clinicians follow the school calendar for vacation and earn three personal days a year.

The Volunteer Program of ANDRUS provides opportunities for friends and neighbors to help us better serve our children. Volunteers bring compassion and hope along with their service. Through helping staff, lending a hand, supporting our cause and providing smiles, members of the Volunteer Program impact lives in small and large ways.

ANDRUS provides various volunteer opportunities, both individual and group, throughout its multi-faceted divisions. We strive to have each volunteer seen as a valuable resource and feel engaged in our work. In return, the staff supports our volunteers and recognizes them as members of the ANDRUS family, working as a unified team toward the same goal of providing a better life for the children we serve.

Throughout the year, dedicated volunteers lend their time and effort to enhance our children’s experiences at ANDRUS. Our goal is to find the perfect fit for you and your skills in our community. Every extra hand makes a difference and helps nurture hope in our children for a brighter future. The children we serve come to us from hardships and trauma, so we hope you will take the time to understand and embrace them.

Trauma-Informed Care Model

ANDRUS sponsors Graduate Internship Training Programs in the field of behavioral health for graduate students pursuing degrees in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, and Psychology.

The Graduate Internship Training Program (The Internship) is a vital part of ANDRUS’ mission, offering students working toward the completion of their degree the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to practice independently.

The Internship is a formal training opportunity for graduate students to foster their professional development through clinical application of their academic learning under the supervision of licensed professionals in the field of their study.
