Assistant Program Manager for Healthy Families program, Yonkers, NY (10/20/17)

The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for direct supervision of the Program Supervisor, Parent Survey Specialist or Family Support Worker, Fatherhood Advocate and interns/volunteers in the Healthy Families program. The Assistant Program Manager provides supervisory oversight for the program as designed by the Program Manager and assist with some managerial aspects as identified.  The Assistant Program Manager reviews developmental questionnaires and follows up referrals to EI, CPSE and other medical resources as needed.  The Assistant Program Manager coordinates required orientation and ongoing training related to home visiting.  The Assistant Program Manager at times is responsible for carrying a caseload.  The Assistant Program Manager works along with the Program Manager to  ensure that all home visiting and program activities adhere to the NYS Office of Children and Family Services guidelines and Healthy Families New York policy and procedures.  In addition, the Assistant Program Manager supports the Program Manager with all interdivisional and collaborative program projects

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with at-risk families OR Master’s degree in social work or related field with a minimum of four (4) years direct experience with at-risk families. Life Skills Specialist, Yonkers, NY (10/12/17)

The Life Skills Specialist’s primary responsibility is to work with the activity programming of the cottage and the appearance of a cottage, to support children’s functioning in the areas of self-care, organization, and living environment. The Life Skills Specialist ensures that the basic needs of the children are met, and that assigned cottage areas are maintained in a safe, orderly and clean condition. With the direction and support of the Program Manager, the Life Skills Specialist identifies areas that need improvement, and carries out tasks including cleaning and organizing cottage spaces and areas on grounds. The Life Skills Specialist provides appropriate supervision to the children as needed, and teaches & assists them with life Skills tasks.
