ANDRUS CENTER FOR LEARNING AND INNOVATION
The ANDRUS Center for Learning and Innovation (ACLI) was created to facilitate dialogue among professionals in the social and public sectors, including organizational and individual practitioners, funders, policy makers, researchers, and the public.
ACLI’s mission is to:
Share the depth and breadth of knowledge ANDRUS staff and faculty have acquired in their experience of developing models and programs and providing direct service to children, families, individuals, communities and organizations.
Provide a forum where information about policies, changes, challenges and innovations in the social and public sectors can be responsibly gathered, shared, and disseminated.
Contribute to our field’s body of knowledge by conducting, publishing and supporting cutting edge research on issues that affect our clients, communities, constituents and stakeholders.
ACLI was instrumental in developing the Sanctuary Model of trauma-responsive organizational change and the resulting international social movement of practitioners. It now disseminates this innovative approach to other organizations through the Sanctuary Institute, the only licensed entity to deliver training and consultation in the Sanctuary Model.
Individual practitioners benefit from the knowledge and experiences of ANDRUS Sanctuary Institute faculty, Residential Treatment staff, Community Division practitioners, Mental Health Division clinicians, and Research and Operational Staff, with expert guidance and staff development in a range of subjects.
PROGRAM EVALUATION AND CONSULTATION
ACLI’s Sanctuary Institute provides on-site consultation and support in strategic planning, leadership development, accountability, empowerment, and offers support in research, data collection and analysis.
SCHOLARLY RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION
ACLI research contributors conduct and support investigations and evaluations by scholars from diverse disciplinary and methodological perspectives to advance understanding practice, treatment, organizational wellness, and intervention in Social and Public Service organizations.
ACLI hosts national and regional symposia to facilitate the presentation and sharing of best practices by experts in leadership, trauma responsive practice, treatment of children with special needs and other topics of interest to participants working with diverse populations.
ACLI serves as a virtual resource center for information, research, services, and programs related to improving human services by providing links to data sources, directories, publications, working papers, professional news and professional development.
