Community Collaborations

The Children’s Center for Learning/Head Start located in New Rochelle and The Lois Bronz Children’s Center located in White Plains are two comprehensive early childhood educational program serving homeless and Head Start children and families.

With the support of the Westchester Community Opportunity Program (WestCOP), we collaborate with both Centers to incorporate our clinicians into the classrooms and provide on-site mental health services. These clinicians provide a range of formal and informal support and clinical services to the children, families and staff in the program. These services include: staff consultation, teacher support groups, crisis intervention and direct clinical services (such as individual, family, milieu and group therapy) to eligible families and children. In addition, a therapeutic nursery, staffed by two Head Start teachers and two clinicians, provides more intensive treatment for children with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties.
