Mental Health Services

Mental HealthPromoting mental health. Preventing emotional distress. Treating mental and emotional illness. The primary aim of ANDRUS’ mental health programs is to ensure that the children we serve in key communities in Westchester County, New York have the opportunity to grow up happy, healthy and strong. We do this by providing direct individual child and family intervention, by supporting parents and caregivers, and by helping children and their families build on their unique strengths while managing their particular challenges. Our capacity to serve and support children and their families has increased greatly with the addition of several innovative mental health programs. Together our talented clinicians and staff continue to help children and families manage stress and disability to more fully enjoy life.

Services are available to families with children from birth through adolescence, and adults experiencing a trauma, loss, or crisis whose issues are related to their children. Clinic services are provided by Board certified psychiatrists (in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry), Doctoral and Masters-level clinical psychologists, licensed, certified Masters-level Social Workers, Doctoral-level psychology interns and Masters-level social work interns. Funding streams for MHD programs are primarily through third party payers starting with Medicaid, commercial insurance and then Medicare.  Additionally, funding streams are active through varied source grants in all programs listed below.
